Keep a close watch on this blog from now on.
The planning of the 2009 HURST FESTIVAL is almost complete. As a sneak preview we can tell you that the BOUNCY FOOTBALL will be back. The Darwin biographer, James Moore will be coming to talk about Darwin and his relationship with local biologist Alfred Wallace, who almost pipped Darwin to the post with his theories on evolution. The Hurst Players will be putting on a new play about the controversy caused by Darwin’s publication of his ‘Origin Of Species’ book. The Desperate Housewives will be putting on a spectacular song and dance show for three nights and the festival will go out with a bang when we have a visit from The Counterfeit BLUES BROTHERS on the final night.
